I've been at the same site in the upper campground twice now, about five years apart. Definitely a nice setting. No cellphone service, at least for AT&T, gives an added dimension. Showers for both upper and lower campgrounds are located at the lower campground. The kettle creek snakes it's way up to lower campground, where it's dammed, making it nice for those camping on shore to go kayaking in this deeper part...the kettle creek then continues up to upper campground, where the large Alvin R. Bush Dam makes a nice water reservoir for fishing on...

I did the nature trail as well as strolled around by the water early in the morning - it was beautiful.

I grew up in a camp near kettle creek state park so I am slightly biased to the place. The PA state park system is fantastic and unfortunately kettle creek state park is not nearly as nice as most but still a great place none the less, especially for a fly fisherman. Fantastic mayfly hatches from early April to mid June including Hendrickson/red quill, blue quill, quill Gordon, March brown, grey fox, big BWO's, sulfurs/pale evening duns, green drake, slate drake, and light cahils. I've probably missed one or two but you get the point.

Beautiful area. I would go there for vacation anytime. Very quiet and peaceful. Elk are in the area.

Would definitely go again, saw the elk grazing just down the road,.. Would be worth a go for u.

The campsite was really clean and the park rangers were super friendly, informative, and nice.

I camped out on the Upper Campground for 2 nights.

This is a great state park. The facilities are fantastic, as is the staff. The price for occupying a camp spot are more than fair. If you are looking to go camping in some of Pennsylvania's best trout country, then this is where you should go next. All in all, a great place to enjoy camping in a beautiful area.

This was very well worth the 4 hour drive from my home; I would go again any given time.

I didn't really need it - but I did have cell service the whole time (Verizon).
